Organomation manufactures evaporator and extractor instruments required for sample preparation prior to chromatography.

Since 1959 Organomation Manufacturing Inc has been a leading provider of analytical chemistry sample preparation solutions. The company has provided decades of experience and unparalleled levels of customer satisfaction which stem from quality hand-built equipment.

Organomation History

Organomation was founded in 1959 by the late Dr. Neal McNiven, who foresaw the need for sample preparation instruments required for chromatography. He developed the first multiple sample, high speed nitrogen evaporator, the forerunner of many similar devices.

Originally named the Meyer N-EVAP Analytical Evaporator, it was popular from the very beginning and found acceptance in a variety of analytical laboratories. It held up to twelve test tubes of various diameters simultaneously with a unique front-loading feature. In the beginning the evaporator was sold directly from a small manufacturing area in Shrewsbury and later Worcester, Massachusetts.

In 1970 a second model was introduced, the twenty-four position N-EVAP. With updates in design, features and materials it is still one of the most popular products offered. Frequently, we see examples of both of these early models still in use today.

As the demand increased, it necessitated a larger facility. In 1980, Organomation constructed its current headquarters and manufacturing plant in Berlin, Massachusetts. The emphasis at the time was on research and development to expand the product line. The MULTIVAP batch nitrogen evaporators and S-EVAP boiling solvent evaporators were introduced during this time.

Nitrogen Blow Down Sample Concentrators

N-EVAPs, MULTIVAPs, and MICROVAPs series nitrogen evaporators are used for over 50 years in laboratories around the world. Organomation nitrogen evaporators combine a heated bath with nitrogen blow down for fast and gentle sample concentration.

Solvent Evaporator Instruments

The S-EVAP-RB and S-EVAP-KD series solvent evaporators easily evaporate large volumes of solvent out of samples to leave dry or concentrated samples for analysis or further processing. The S-EVAP-RB and S-EVAP-KD are each capable of up to 97% solvent recovery.

Solvent Extraction Instruments

The ROT-X-TRACT product lines eliminate chaos and wasted time by allowing for up to 8, or 10 extractions to be performed simultaneously in a single bath with a single water manifold. All extractors are engineered using a circular design for easy insertion and retrieval of samples.

Produce Quality

Organomation produces low maintenance laboratory equipment which will function without issue for many years with minimal operating costs. When you purchase an Organomation Instrument, you can be confident it is built to last. Organomation instruments are carefully assembled and tested, individually, by hand, in the USA, from the highest quality components.

Applications

Organomation instruments are valuable to sample preparation for research and testing with applications in fields such as:

  • Environment
  • Agriculture
  • Food and Beverage
  • Medicine
  • Quality Assurance
  • Forensic Science
  • Government
  • Academia
  • Oil and Grease

Organomation instruments are highly respected worldwide. They have a reputation for being well made, reliable and low maintenance laboratory appliances. Because of their long expected operating life they are very cost effective solutions for today’s busy laboratories.
